Tonight’s the big night on BSG – it’s the final episode of the first half of the fourth season (okay, that’s a little bit complicated). It looks like the shit really hits the fan, in a way that it hasn’t before, although I am seriously doubting that “all will be revealed”.

And then there seem to be no more episodes until 2009.

BSG’s been doing very well in the ratings recently – in an unprecedented manner. It’s gone up, which strongly serialized shows rarely do, especially not in their final season. Apparently NBC/Universal is falling all over themselves to do something with the ratings bump, including finally going to production on the prequel “Caprica”, which they ignored for so long.

The rumor is that they’ve asked for three more 2 hour TV movies, a la “Razor”. It makes sense that they’d like to do this before they tear down the sets and the cast disperses after the final episode is done being filmed (which should be roughly “now”). From what I’ve read, it’s likely that they’ll get one 2 hour TV movie, though, but the new rumor today is that they may squeeze in two more episodes, making the final run of the show 12 episodes long instead of 10. As long as they’re more like “The Hub” and less like the silly underworld episode, I’m putty in their hands.
