Get a Free Printer and iPod with a Mac from and Save on Adobe Creative Suite

Apple Store

Apple has a couple of ways you can save on a new Mac this summer. First, if you buy a qualifying printer with a Mac you’ll get a rebate of up to $100 on the printer. That’s enough to cover the cost of many of the printers available through the Apple Store. This works with any Mac, new, refurbished or on an educational or developer discount. Click through the banner to the left for more info.

Second, if you buy a computer with an educational discount you can also get $199 back on an iPod or iPod nano purchase made at the same time. This only applies if you buy a MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac or Mac Pro… it doesn’t apply to the Mac Mini. it also doesn’t apply to the iPod Shuffle but does to the regular iPod with Video and iPod nano. You can find out more by reading the FAQ.

As an added bonus, if you need Adobe Creative Suite in some form and you qualify for academic pricing, you can buy Creative Suite products at up to a $300 discount off the normal academic price if you purchase them at the same time as a Mac. You can find more details here.

Note that for any of these offers, you’ll need to buy everything at once - so if you want the printer, the iPod, the Macintosh and Creative Suite, you’ll need to be qualified to do an educational purchase, buy them all in a single order, and send in rebate forms for the printer and iPod. These offers also only work through the Apple Store… you can’t take advantage of them with products you buy elsewhere.

[Update: Note that of course Apple's educational discounts will already save you a hundred or more dollars on whatever Mac you're buying.]
