This is another indispensable kitchen item.

I have a pair of them. I use them to make salad dressing, chop nuts, make small amounts of pesto, make bread crumbs, make breading, chop herbs and spices, chop garlic.

There are several different models, in different capacities, with different bodies and in different colors.

The model I use has a 24oz bowl (although in practice you’d probably never want to really come near filling it). It’s dishwasher safe.

When I first got one, I figured I’d use it once in a while… but it’s so handy that it’s one of the most used appliances in our kitchen. It’s great for dealing with smaller amounts of food than would work well in our big food processor. When I’m making a big meal, I often end up using both of them and sometimes wish I had an extra bowl handy.

I’ve had these for several years now and never had a problem with them, so they’re sturdy little suckers, too.
