Kensington 33185 iPod Charger/FM Transmitter

</p> <p>Finally, an iPod FM transmitter that I’m really happy with. Having tried the iTrip and the <a onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.romkey.com/shinythings/?p=12');" href="http://www.romkey.com/shinythings/?p=12">XtremeMac AirPlay</a>, I was disappointed with both for different reasons. The Kensington transmitter is easy to use, has a clear, strong signal, a display so that you can see what it’s set to (although it may be a little difficult seeing the display if when it’s plugged into a cigarette lighter jack), and the sound quality is great, with no qualifications.</p> <p><span id="more-13"></span></p> <p>The AirPlay differs from most older iPod transmitters in that it uses the dock connector rather than the remote and headphone jacks. This is helpful because new iPods don’t have a remote jack anymore. I also have the sense that sound quality is better via the dock connector. The AirPlay will work with any current iPod or iPod Nano (but not the Shuffle). I believe it will also work with the iPod mini.
