Kensington 33185 iPod Charger/FM Transmitter
Finally, an iPod FM transmitter that I’m really happy with. Having tried the iTrip and the XtremeMac AirPlay, I was disappointed with both for different reasons. The Kensington transmitter is easy to use, has a clear, strong signal, a display so that you can see what it’s set to (although it may be a little difficult seeing the display if when it’s plugged into a cigarette lighter jack), and the sound quality is great, with no qualifications.
The AirPlay differs from most older iPod transmitters in that it uses the dock connector rather than the remote and headphone jacks. This is helpful because new iPods don’t have a remote jack anymore. I also have the sense that sound quality is better via the dock connector. The AirPlay will work with any current iPod or iPod Nano (but not the Shuffle). I believe it will also work with the iPod mini. Thus far, I’m very happy with it.
